COVID-19

It's been a very difficult time for everyone over the last 6 months and the impact on the preschool cannot be overstated. Inline with Government and Department for Education guidelines, we have had to make changes to the way in which we operate and these are comprehensively outlined on this page.

Note that these processes are under constant review and may be adjusted at any time should we receive updated guidance from the authorities.

Fundamentally, the main focus for us all at this time is safety and minimising risk to our children, staff and parents/guardians, so please ensure that you follow the procedures that are detailed here.

We want to thank all parents, guardians, carers and most importantly the children, for all of their support during these unprecedented times.

Organising the Preschool

The children will be split into two family groups. The Bumble Bee's and The Honey Bee's.

The Bumble Bee's family group will arrive and depart from the side entrance (The second door).

The Honey Bee's family group will arrive and depart from the main entrance.

Outside both entrances will be marked with the 2 metre distance and only one parent/carer to bring and collect their child please.  The Government guidance still advices that parents and carer's do not come into the setting. Please prepare your child and yourselves to say goodbye at the door.
When we reopened in June this worked extremely well! If your child does come in upset please let me assure you they will be comforted and we will give a call to let you know how they are.

Snacks & Lunch

We will provide your child with there own named snack pot.

Please provide a healthy snack (two snacks if they attend all day)

If you haven't got your child's snack pot then please let us know. In the meantime, please provide a snack(s) in a named sandwich bag and we will give your child's snack pot after their next session.

What should I put in the snackbox/lunchbox?

For Snacks:

Fresh fruit or vegetables e.g. banana, apple, melon berries, carrot sticks, cucumber, pepper or tomatoes. If you provide grapes please cut length ways.

Bread sticks and dip, cheese and crackers, raisins and rice cakes.

If your child is staying for lunch please provide a healthy lunch in a named lunch box. Please note we are unable to store snack pot and lunch boxes in the fridge so you may wish to use ice packs.

For Lunch:
